Robotics, mechatronics and AI/ML engineering, from concept to commissioned system.
Voltwyn is my engineering practice. I take on engineering problems across domains, from robots and prototypes to embedded electronics, automation, data and test, and carry them from the first requirement to a working system, with the tests and records that show what it does and does not prove.
Each area starts with a paid Define phase and ends with a tested system and the records behind it. Each links to work already on this site, with its own description of what it covers.
Robotics and autonomy
ROS 2, navigation, sensor fusion and motion control.
Robots that sense, localise, plan and recover, with the navigation stack checked in simulation before it runs on hardware.
Start with: A Define phase that sets the task, the sensors, the operating area and the simulation tests the robot has to pass.
These checks support the PCB design and software behaviour; assembled-board measurements and field validation remain separate work.
Automation and controls
PLC, HMI/SCADA, MES and production data, drives, instrumentation, FAT/SAT and commissioning.
Control logic, operator screens and production-data links built to a functional specification, then checked through factory and site acceptance before handover.
Start with: A Define phase that agrees the process, the control philosophy, the interfaces and the acceptance tests.
Industrial IT, engineering tools, test rigs, CAN and automotive validation, and verification evidence.
Tests and tools that leave evidence someone else can audit: instrumented runs, logged data, defect records and the software that ties them together.
Start with: A Define phase that sets what must be proved, the test method and the records the result has to leave.
Proof on this site
ADAS and CAN Validation Feature, breadboard and OTA regression testing across vehicle development programmes, supported by CAN-level fault evidence.
ABMARC Emissions and Compliance Testing Repeatable, auditable emissions testing against ADR and EURO standards, supported by calibrated instrumentation and QA records.

Who it is for
Equipment makers, machine builders, research teams and businesses that need a robot, mechanism, board or model built and tested, and documented well enough to hand over.
Outside the offer
Safety-rated control systems, certified products and volume manufacturing. If your job needs one of these I will say so early and point you to a better fit.
How it runs
A short Define phase first. Then fixed-price design work.
Each phase ends with something you keep, and the next phase is quoted from it.
Phase 1
Define
A short, paid study before any design work. We agree what the system must do, what it connects to, the environment it works in, the limits on size, power and cost, and the acceptance criteria.
You receive: A written specification, interface list, block diagram, risk register and a fixed-price quote for the Design and build phase.
Basis: Fixed fee of A$1,400 for one system or prototype, agreed before work starts.
Phase 2
Design and build
Mechanical, electronic, firmware and software design to the agreed specification, with a design review before parts are ordered or boards are made. Materials, parts, fabrication and assembly costs are separate.
You receive: Design files, bill of materials, firmware and software source, the working prototype and the design review record.
Basis: Fixed price, quoted from the Define phase specification.
Phase 3
Test and handover
The prototype is tested against the acceptance criteria from the Define phase: measurements, simulation runs or data checks, as the work needs. Testing happens on site where the equipment requires it.
You receive: Verification pack, test records and handover notes.
Basis: Hourly at A$140 per hour, with a cap agreed in writing before the phase starts.
After handover: changes, further revisions and production questions at the hourly rate, by arrangement.
Rate basis
Fixed price where the scope is fixed. Hourly, and capped, where it is not.
Australian dollars, excluding GST. Every quote states the basis, the cap and what you receive.
Engineering time
A$140 per hour. Time is recorded against each task and reported with the invoice.
Define phase
Fixed fee of A$1,400 for one system or prototype, agreed before work starts.
Design and build phase
Fixed price, quoted from the Define phase specification. Materials, parts, fabrication and assembly costs are separate.
Test and handover
Hourly at the engineering rate, with a cap agreed in writing before the phase starts.
Support after handover
Hourly at the engineering rate, by arrangement.
On-site work
Victoria, Australia. Travel is agreed in the quote.
Files and ownership
Design files, source code and the verification pack are delivered with each phase. Ownership terms are set out in the quote.
Invoicing
Invoices are issued by Sajeevan Veeriah, sole trader, ABN 17 630 081 594, registered for GST, and show GST separately. Prices are in Australian dollars and exclude GST.
Start here
Start with a Define phase.
Tell me what you are building, what it has to work with and what a good result looks like. I reply with a short list of questions and a Define phase proposal.
